Katarzyna Taras
Art of the image in film
She graduated at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She is a Professor of Polish National Filmschool in Łodz and Warsaw Film School. Taras is also a film critic. Her academic interests could be described in three points: the borderlines of film and literature, contemporary Polish cinema, the art of cinematography. She wrote three books: Witkacy and Film “An Egoist” or Edi? The Characters of the Latest Polish Films – the Reconnaissance, Frustrated People. Film and Literature Characters in the Face of Polish Reality after 1989. This year I will publish „Make an eye. The story about Krzysztof Ptak”.
