The program has been specially created for people who work and have other activities and want to study at the same time. It has been prepared so that you will learn. You will have classes every week, but so that you dose your own hours and the amount of energy you want to devote to learning.

The ideal mix of theory & practice

We have combined various aspects of the art into an ideally balanced program. The program is prepared in such a way that students learn various aspects of the art of film including basics of film direction and the art of cinematography and script writing.

Your skills after graduation

You will be able to use film language consciously, using your own techniques and tools, in search of your art language. You will be familiar with the use of different types of shots and camera movements as well as framing for a given dramatic effect. You will be able to use various narration modes for feature as well as documentary works.

You will know how to work with a script, how to approach castings and rehearsals and how to set tasks for the actor. You will perform several practical film exercises and you will develop your own film during each year of study.

You will know the key points of screenwriting theory and you will explore different aspects of screenwriting in search of your own ideas. You will participate in a creative process culminating in a final draft of your own screenplay.

You will learn screenplay interpretation in relation to the blocking of actors within a scene. You will understand the value of storyboard as a graphic form of the script and be able to use it as a medium of communicating your artistic vision with other members of the crew.

You will learn to perceive the light as a way of creating the space and shaping the story. You will be able to understand and perform various light and camera setups. You will be familiar with various effects and light conventions, in different ambient conditions, in a studio as well as outdoors.

You will know the role of film editing and you will learn how to direct and assemble footage for gaining the maximum emotional effect and finding the right tempo and rhythm for a given emotion. You will know the key creative disciplines in film with overview of roles and responsibilities in the various stages of production.

You will be familiar with the most important topics and tendencies in the history of the cinema. You will understand and appreciate art with its development over time and its role within different cultures and societies
